Saturday 19th June

Gran’s been round for tea and I was talking to her about Ollie the Octopus, my bedtime reading book project for English, and she got all quivery! Said “I can’t stand octopuses, all slithery and slimy!”

Awwww… not fair… my Ollie’s not like that anyway!!

But Gran went on holiday to Greece once years ago and she was out in a fishing boat with these girls and they caught a little octopus and one put it down the back of her swimsuit when she wasn’t looking!!! Said she could still feel it when she thought about it. Said she screamed and they took it off her and were going to keep it for supper but she was very cross and made them put it back in the water.

She said “Poor little thing, he was only a baby and he looked so sad!” Sweet.

But she still didn’t want to talk about Ollie, shame ‘cos I’m still looking for story ideas!!
