Dad was home today for the World Cup match – but only just! Really surprised when I got home from school ‘cos he was here, you could hear him from the car ‘cos he was going “YESSS! Come on! Do it NOW! NOT like that!!” and stuff.

Was a surprise ‘cos he went to work this morning in a grump ‘cos Mr Elms wouldn’t let anyone have time off to watch the game. But then Elena who’s the head cleaner went into his office and said “Meester Elms!" (she’s Greek) “Today is BEEG day for England in the football! Be nice to your people!”

They could all hear her in the big office.

It’s strange Dad says, he always listens to her so he came out after a bit, it was lunchtime and just said “All right then! Off you all go!”

The people on the food production line couldn’t though so he’s given them an extra day off next week. Neato!
