DOT'S DIARIES 2010

Thursday 24th June

Done a bit of my English project, our bedtime reading book ‘Ollie the Octopus and his Tentative Tentacles’. JUST in time, Mrs R wants us to hand something in tomorrow, at least 100 words (which sounds a lot but isn’t really.)

Got easier once I got started. First sentence was the hardest. But then I thought I’d just say something ordinary, so I went:

“Ollie was an octopus who had very tentative tentacles. This meant his tentacles wouldn’t always do what he told them to. Octopuses have to stick to rocks to rest and hide on their seabed home, and Ollie’s tentacles wouldn’t stick. Octopuses have to let their tentacles go straight out behind them when they’re swimming along, and Ollie’s kept getting tangled up! And they wouldn’t go the right way when he wanted to get something nice to eat, so his mum had to feed him.”

Mum and Dad helped and we went on Wiki a lot, VERRRY useful!
