DOT'S DIARIES 2010

Friday 25th June

We all went to Barnyard Theatre Company tonight to see their end of year production, it’s for students studying Performing Arts. Got tickets ‘cos Sarah Amos goes there, she’s in the junior group, ‘cos it’s a “totally inclusive” theatre company, anyone can go and learn all about acting and dancing and directing etc.

Lots of people with disabilities go and learn there, like there were FOUR people acting in the play tonight who use wheelchairs like Sarah. But it was clever, the way they did the play after a bit you didn’t really notice that.

The play was a kind of musical with lots of dance and songs, it was called ‘Nursery Rhyme @ Real Time’ and it used lots of nursery rhyme characters to tell this story about how bad people wanted to knock down a castle and build a mega-superstore and a motorway… but whatever they did released these rhymes and – oops Dad coming, meant to be in bed!!
