DOT'S DIARIES 2010

Friday 2nd July

We’re going away for the weekend to stay with Roger Fittles near Gatwick Airport. He’s Dad’s plane-spotting friend and they’re going to go off and look at aeroplanes. Roger thinks they might see one called a ‘Lancaster’.

And have BEER ‘cos Roger’s a “real ale” fan, rang up today to say he’d found a new pub near him called ‘The Old Thatched Barn’ (how can it be a new pub if it’s called ‘The Old Thatched Barn’????) and Dad HAD to try their beer including one called ‘Boots Boots Boots Marching UP and Down Again’ (must have a big label on the bottle!!) Mum and I are going to hang out in the village where Roger lives, it’s a really nice place and anyway Roger has a horse and two pigs and a collie called Defiant (says he named it after a plane!)

It’ll be fun. Going early tomorrow morning – but Mum says no laptop, so no Diary at the weekend!!
