LAST day of term! Summer holidays! Dad took me in Wilhelmina this morning, kept singing this VERRRY old rock song which goes “School’s… out… for SUM-MER! School’s… out… FOR EV-ER!” (Don’t think he’d like it much if it really was!!) Said it was by someone called Alice Cooper who’s really a man who wears streaky eye makeup. Durr, grown-up rock…

Lots of goodbyes, made a plan to go sailing with Genie ‘cos I liked it so much at Craigalvon. Don’t know where but it’d be nice. Slam and Pearl are going to go to their auntie’s in Barbados with their dad, Darren’s going camping in Dorset (already worrying about whether he’ll have broadband and how he’ll charge his laptop!!)

Annie’s going somewhere called St Tropez (you say San Tropay) ‘cos her dad’s got an EVEN RICHER friend with a big yacht. Doesn’t want to go, said she wished we were all coming too. Bet she’ll like it when she’s there though!
